From the pastoral letter of Archbishop Alfred C. Hughes, S.T.D, a discussion series has been created to promote racial harmony so as to build a more loving, accepting, and respectful community. The discussion series are conducted by trained facilitators and all work is done in small table groups. Participants are encouraged to attend all four evenings in the series.
In response to Priority 5, Goal 1 of the Ninth General Synod, Archbishop Gregory Aymond is asking us to take action to help bring an end to the grievous sin of racism in our church and in our community. So we ask,
You are invited to join in a four-part discussion series based on Archbishop Hughes' "Made in the Image and Likeness of God; a Pastoral Letter on Racial Harmony". The goal of the discussions is to move Catholics as individuals and members of their parishes to fulfill the command of Jesus to live as one body, unified in faith. This is an opportunity to explore how we as Catholics can be instruments of reconciliation, justice, forgiveness and healing.
When: Mondays, 7 - 8:30 pm, January 21 - February 11, 2019 with an additional optional meeting on February 18, 2019
