Rose was born in New Orleans, LA but grew up in Slidell under the guidance of her beloved parents George and Annie Mills. She has 5 siblings, 1 daughter, 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. She attended St Tammany High School from 1st to the 11th grade, then graduated from Salmen High School. Earned a B.A. degree from Southern University in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Mild Moderate Special Education, Plus 30 in Elementary Principal from Southeastern La. University.
Her educational career began with St Tammany Parish School System as an elementary teacher at Boyet Jr. High, Special Education teacher at Alton Elementary, IEP Facilitator, Principal of a Special School, and currently principal at Glynn H. Brock Elementary.
God has blessed her with an amazing career, working with children over the years. She truly believes that all children can achieve and has seen them succeed when adults foster a positive caring attitude while working with them. They will work extra hard to achieve their goals when they know we believe in them. She has been at Brock for over 2 decades and considers it an honor and a privilege to continue to making a difference in the lives of children that walk through the doors of Glynn H. Brock Elementary.
