Professional Background: Retired after 26 years of service as the Associate Director of the Applications Systems Division for the National Finance Center at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Provided guidance and support to numerous applications within the National Finance Center, in particular the development and implementation of the Payroll/Personnel System across numerous Federal departments, which furnished HR and payroll services to over 400,000 federal employees. After retiring, I started a consulting business providing subject matter expertise to the Departments of Treasury, HUD and Labor for their HR front-end systems.
Hobbies/Personal Interests: Grandchildren, family, travel, cooking, and gardening
Passion for Volunteer Service/Good Samaritan Ministry:
Good Sams Volunteer since 2015
In my Federal career, I have served as a Combined Federal Campaign, the federal segment of the United Way, as team lead for my branch or division depending on my position at the time. I feel responsibility to help those that are less fortunate. I am blessed to always have had the support of my family throughout all of my life. Many of these people are not so lucky. I feel that Good Sams can give a ‘hand up’ to those who need. It touches your heart to see how appreciative most of the people are for the help. I have become a better person for being part of Good Sams.
