Grieving with Great Hope is a Catholic grief support workshop of five days that offers a prayerful, practical, and personal approach for anyone who is mourning the loss of a loved one. It is being hosted by the Our Lady of Lourdes Grief Ministry with the support of the East St. Tammany/Washington Deanery which includes 8 parishes on the Northshore. The workshop will be held at St. Margaret Mary’s Evangelization Building, and the dates are in the bulletin. Registration is only $20 and includes all workshop materials.

Cash Awards are 1st Place (State): $5,000, 2nd Place (State): $3,000, 3rd Place (State): $2,000, Diocesan winner: $500. St. Luke Council will determine the award provided to winners from our parish. One Boy/One Girl are chosen for each council.

The KC Squires and Roses will host their annual Mardi Gras for everyone grade 4 to 12 and their families! Food, music, and lots of friendship! Everything starts at 6 p.m. The cost is only $7 per person, and tickets are going fast! Please contact Chris Pericone at 985-640-0621 for more information.

Sr. Mary Martha Moss of the Daughters of St. Paul will present a beautiful day of reflection for women on the importance of prayer and the bonds of friendship. Come join us on February 8th. Mass begins at 8 a.m. Hot breakfast is included. Register here!

Join St. Luke and St. Margaret Mary parishioners on a chartered bus to the ProLife March in Baton Rouge on Saturday, January 25. Bus departs STL at 7:45 a.m. Returns around 2:30 p.m. Cost is only $20 per person. Register online.

STL Multicultural Committee will host a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. and a panel discussion on January 20th, 2020 at 7 p.m in the Family Life Center. The panel discussion which will follow will feature two well-known area businessmen, Peter Nguyen, owner of Jazzy Pete’s Restaurant on East Gause Blvd., and Will Rachal, a local business owner and founder of Dream Builders’ Network, LLC. They will discuss the opportunities and challenges of living in and operating businesses in the greater Slidell area.
