Grants and Donations Received

Our ministry director, Sue Rotolo was virtually presented with this Good Neighbor Grant for COVID-19 Assistance by Grant Gravois, State Farm Agency, Good Samaritan Ministry Board member and good friend. Thank You, Mr. Gravois

The Presentation Statement follows:

On behalf of the State Farm agents in the south central Louisiana area, we would like to honor The Good Samaritan Ministries.
We know that you all work tirelessly to support families in need every day, and especially during this COVID-19 crisis. Thank you for the great work you and your team are doing to help support the community during these uncertain times.

I am honored to present you with a Good Neighbor Grant for $1,000.00 to assist with your work in helping to create safer and more educated communities. We know it is not an easy assignment, but we are thankful for their service.

We would normally make these presentations to you in person, however given our social distancing requirements, please accept this certificate as recognition of our donation.

The Good Samaritan Ministry Chairman of the Board, Father Pat Wattigny, thanks Ted and Steve Longo for the recent $10,000 donation from Bank of America. In recognition of this generous donation, The Longos were honored with an original, signed and numbered Phil Galatas framed print; now on display in the Merrill Lynch office in Slidell, Louisiana. 

The Longos made their donation through the Community Chest Program. This program focuses on giving local businesses the opportunity to donate money or services that go right back into the towns that help build their business. 

The Good Samaritan Ministry Board presents Steve Ernst of Resolve Systems with a framed, signed and numbered Phil Galatas print in appreciation for his company’s multi-year financial commitment in support of our ministry through the Community Chest program.

Financial support or a commitment of professional services helps strengthen our community so that our quality of life for everyone is uplifted.

Our Board members recently presented signed, numbered Phil Galatas prints from an original oil painting created for the Good Samaritan Ministry to David Hursey of Cleco, Good Sams Community Chest supporter, and to Mr. and Mrs. Ueli Geissman, generous donors to our ministry.  Pictured above  are from left to right board secretary Pam Barrilleaux, board members Lynn Vonciell -Momis, Glynn Adams and Robert Ryals, with David Hursey, Noel and Ueli Geissman, Good Sams social advocate, councilmen Gene Bellisario, board legal advisor Kristen Stanley -Wallace, and board Vice chair Mark Knoblach.  Missing from photo are Father Pat, Board president, and board members Jeanine Bridges, Brian Clavin, Kevin Davis and Randy Gonzales.  

Our ministry director, Sue Rotolo, presents a Phil Galatas print to long time ministry supporter and former board vice chairman Dr. David Hildebrandt.  Along with his commitment of time with board activities he has generously provided and continues to provide dental care to our clients.  We are blessed by his service to the poor within our community  

Dr. Gordon Bech and his staff have been contributing dental services to our clients for more than 7 years.  Good Sams thanks them for making our community stronger and healthier.   They were recently presented with a signed and numbered, framed print of an original Phil Galatas oil painting.
