The Multicultural Committee of St. Luke invites you to a presentation on Native American culture on NOVEMBER 18 at 7 pm in the FAMILY LIFE CENTER. In conjunction with National Native American Month, “Words from my Unci (grand-mother)” will be presented by guest speaker Sheryl M. A graduate of Louisiana State University in 1990, and Southern University of New Orleans in 1995, Wagers served an internship with the Department of Veterans Affairs. In that capacity she participated with the Federal Women’s Committee. Wagers was a Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities Scholar in 2001, providing symposiums on the changing role of American Indian women. Wagers has been a clinical social worker with the Veterans’ Administration since 1995. She adds that she is a “proud mother of a University of New Orleans graduate.”
